If you are playing the practice round, please check in with the Pro Shop and pay for your green fees ($45/player).  This is a 9-hole round on the Charger Course.

7.28.26 Note About Thursday Night Welcome Dinner

The Welcome Dinner will be held at PopStroke, 5487 Hamlin Groves Trail.  Please arrive at 6pm and plan on a 30-40 minute drive from Bay Hill.

 The dinner buffet will open at 6:15.  We’ll eat, talk about the tournament, and have our first fellowship discussion.  After our meeting, we’ll enjoy a round of mini golf together!  If you’re feeling competitive, create your own foursome and make a “game” out of it! 

Putter options……1) use their crappy putters for no charge, 2) pay a $10 upcharge to use their Spider putters, or 3) bring your own putter. 

 

7.18.26  Update from Bay Hill
Note from Todd:  I learned this week that Bay Hill is currently working on a bunker reconstruction project.  They are telling me there will only be one hole impacted when we’re there.  Unfortunately, it’s hole #16, which is one of the best, most iconic holes.  We’ll play to a temporary green in the fairway in front of the water, so it’s a significant change to the hole. I’m very disappointed, but I also understand this is a first-world problem.  As a concession, they have credited our green fees for the Friday afternoon Horse Race.  We will repurpose those funds for the Thursday night dinner and mini golf, meaning your food and mini golf will be covered by Thrive.   Once we’re onsite and we understand more about the impact of the construction, we’ll determine local rules to govern play on any holes impacted by the bunkers.  We’ll also likely determine that the temporary green on #16 is a 2-putt max, once the ball is on the putting surface.

7/11/26:  Friday afternoon schedule change
Please note a slight change in the agenda on Friday afternoon.  Tee times for the Horse Race have been pushed back to 4:50, 5:00, and 5:10.  This change will allow us to enjoy the resort amenities on Friday afternoon after Round 1 (such as the pool, or even just the air conditioner!)  For dinner after the Horse Race, we can go to a nearby restaurant, or order pizza to the resort, or whatever the group wants to do.
