Wednesday, February 15th: Family Fellowship Gathering
7:00pm central time on Zoom

Friday, February 17th: Family Dinner
5:30-7:30pm at the Home2Suites (open house format)
Dinner is $10/per person and may be paid in the Thrive online Store.
Saturday, February 18th: Day 1 of the Joshua Cup
8:00-8:45am Player Check-in at the Thrive tent on the driving range.
9:00-9:30am Opening Ceremony on the Scoring Deck behind the clubhouse.
10:30am: First tee time
Sunday tee times and pairings will be posted within one hour of the conclusion of play on Saturday.
Sunday, February 19th: Day 2 of the Joshua Cup
8:00-9:30am Family Breakfast at the Clubhouse (free for player and caddie, $15/additional person, extra tickets may be purchased in the Thrive online Store.)
10:30am: First tee time
Awards Celebration on the Scoring Deck immediately following the conclusion of play.

Reminders
- Family Fellowship Gathering on Wednesday night at 7pm central. If you have already RSVP’d, you will receive a reminder email with the log-in credentials in the next few days. If you have not RSVP’d, please find the link in the announcements below. PLAYERS & CADDIES: You will need a paper plate for the Wednesday night fellowship. Please come prepared with your paper plate and a Sharpie marker or a pen.
- Friday Night Dinner: Dinner will be served from 5:30-7:30pm at the Home2Suites hotel in Prattville. This is a “come and go” open house format. Hang around, meet other families, enjoy socializing together. Dinner is $10/per person and may be paid in the Thrive online Store.
- If you ordered an additional shirt or jacket, we will have it available for pick up on Friday night or Saturday morning. (And if you forgot, we have your order details and will have your item ready ;).
- Additional Items for Purchase: The Thrive Foundation will have additional items for sale (golf shirts, tee shirts, pullovers, vests, etc…). All proceeds benefit The Thrive Foundation.
Player Check-in
Each player is required to check in during one of two time slots. You may check in at the Friday night dinner, or upon your arrival at the golf course on Saturday morning between 8:00-8:45am. Players are asked to be onsite Saturday morning by 8:30am. Carts will be staged on the driving range. Each player will have an assigned cart with a name plate on the front of the cart. Each cart is to be shared by player and caddie. Spectators needing a cart are asked to check in with the pro shop regarding availability and cost.
Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony will take place from 9:00-9:30am on Saturday morning at the Scoring Deck (behind the clubhouse). We’ll announce the Round 1 pairings and tee times during the Ceremony. Each player will be introduced with their walk-up song selection. Have your phones ready for videos and pictures!
Team Uniforms
Americans: Your team color is NAVY.
Nationals: Your team color is RED.
Each player will receive a team hoodie at check in. Please wear the team hoodie during the Opening Ceremony and team pictures. As the day warms up (hopefully), you are not required to wear the hoodie, but are asked to wear a top that matches your team color. As for pants/shorts, please do your best to follow the guidelines from your Team Captain.
Sunday Morning Breakfast Buffet
Once again, Step by Step Golf will provide the Sunday morning Breakfast Buffet at the Clubhouse. (No additional charge for player and caddie.) Additional breakfast tickets may be purchased for $15 per person in the Thrive Store.

Walk-up Song Selections
As of today, we have received song selections from approximately half the participants. We are extending the deadline to next Saturday, January 28th at Noon central time. But, this is a FIRM deadline because we will engage our media partners at that time and they will begin producing “the show” for us. If you have not submitted your song choice by then, we will pick the song for you.
We Still Need One More Player!
We filled the girls spot a few weeks ago, but since then, we’ve had a withdrawal in the boys division. Our specific need is for a 13-14 year old boy who averages 75-79. We know this is a tall task given the short timeframe, but we’re asking for your help. If you know a player that fits this description, please tell them about the event. Friday Night Dinner
Response for the Friday Night Dinner has been OUTSTANDING. THANK YOU! Please begin making payment for your group. We’ll make the cost really simple. $10/person regardless of age. All proceeds for the dinner benefit the Thrive Foundation. Please visit the Thrive donation page HERE. Click the radio button for “Other Amount”. Enter the proper dollar amount for your group ($10/pp). In the “Add Comment” box, please enter “Player Name/Number of Participants”. For example, I would write: Gober/2

This is an exclusive event intended for players, caddies, family members and friends who will be attending the Joshua Cup. A Few Spots Still Remain in the Tournament Field
As of the moment of this post, we have a few spots still available in the Joshua Cup. However, please know this is a fluid situation and will change as people respond. Also, in an effort to create the most equitable teams possible, and to ensure we have a field size divisible by four (for pairings purposes), we must carefully manage the gender and age of the final few spots. If you know of a player who would be interested in participating, please ask them to email Todd at todd@stepbystepgolf.org.
Arrival Information for Friday, February 17th
Practice Round Tee Times: There is not an “official” practice round, but players may call the Pro Shop at RTJ Capitol Hill and book tee times. Be sure to reference that you’re with Step by Step Golf to get the special rate. The tournament will be held on the Legislator Course. SBSG tee markers will be in place by Noon on that Friday and the hole-by-hole distances will be provided.
Friday Night Welcome Reception and Dinner (5:30-7:30pm at Home2Suites hotel): All players, caddies, and family members are invited to join in a special event taking place on Friday night (new this year). This will be an “open house format” so that everyone may come and go as you wish. Dinner will be served (more details regarding menu and cost provided later). We will have a “Tournament Info Center” where players may check in and receive their Team Pullover.

Group Lodging Discount
Step by Step Golf has established a group rate with the Home2Suites hotel, which is located approximately one mile from the clubhouse and in the heart of the restaurant/commercial area. The link below is valid through 12/31/22 or until the hotel reaches full capacity. Participants wanting to take advantage of this rate are encouraged to book as soon as possible.
